Helly & John, as a brother and sister combo, decided to follow their dream and start a truly independent, family run, neighborhood bar and restaurant. The Malago celebrates the natural and industrial aspects of Bristol city living. A unique, friendly and welcoming community led restaurant, we focus on fresh, locally sourced and quality food.
Our food reflects Head Chef Helly's love of modern, British cuisine with a unique European influence. We offer a dynamic menu of brunch, lunch and evening food. Our food and drink celebrates Bristol's independent producers, showcasing the finest aspects of the heartland of Bristol. We aim to reduce our food (and drink) miles as much as possible, being supplied by the likes of the Severn Project for our edible flowers and leaves, and the great Bristol Beer Factory for our beers.
The Malago opened its doors on 26th May 2017.
